HIT Technology at the Niche Business Awards 2025

On Friday 5th September 2025, members of the HIT Technology team attended the prestigious Niche Business Awards at the Athena in Leicester. The annual event celebrates the Leicestershire’s most inspiring businesses, organisations and individuals, bringing together finalists and sponsors for an evening of recognition and networking.

We were proud to sponsor the Leicestershire Charity of the Year category. Our founder and Head of Business Development, Paul Hartshorn, took to the stage to announce the winner and present the award to the very deserving Focus Charity. Based in Leicester, Focus Charity helps young people build confidence, develop skills and create brighter futures through mentoring, training and community projects.

It was also a special evening for our own Head of Operations, Sophie Matthews, who was a finalist in the Rising Star category. This accolade reflects Sophie's talent, dedication and leadership in driving forward both HIT Technology and the wider manufacturing technology sector.

Representing HIT Technology at the event were members of our management team: Paul Hartshorn, Sophie Matthews, David Burke and Sarah Newbold. The evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate local achievements, connect with other businesses, and show our continued support for the Leicestershire community.

We’d like to congratulate all of the finalists and winners on their success – and in particular Focus Charity for their incredible impact in our region.
